- Suitcase locks for every suitcase
- Plastic address labels for every suitcase (A telephone number
is safer than your physical address; you don’t want to tip off any
thieves at your home base airport that your home is unattended)
- Backpack or other bag for carrying everything you’ll need for the day
- Mini address book for writing postcards
- Postcard stamps for domestic trips
- All prescriptions – in some cases you may need a letter from your doctor to say that the medication is for you specifically
- Contact lenses and applicable formulas
- Extra eyeglasses or contact lenses, if needed
- 2 pairs of sunglasses
- Paperback book or two
- Swiss Army knife (in your checked bag air travellers)
- List of phone numbers for people back home, in case of emergency
